  • Kathryn [she/her] has always been interested in structure, mechanics, and the interaction of our humanity, space, and function. These interests inspired her study of Engineering and English Literature, but it wasn’t until she began studying human movement that these dual interests came together. Integral movement and anatomy with a fascial focus united her interests in structure, function, and the human condition. Kathryn is inspired daily by the empowering capacity of mindful movement practices to support function, comfort, health, trust, and strength in one’s entire being.

About this course

By the end of the course, you will have a nuanced understanding and a felt sense of a multidimensional set of our favourite FAMO exercises, ready to use in your personal practice and with clients. Experience has shown that the movements and techniques are well-suited for group classes, personalised training, and therapeutic settings, using body-minded movement to enhance physical functionality and psycho-emotional wellbeing.

While all myofascial meridians are considered, special emphasis is placed on the Superficial Back Line and Superficial Front Line due to their essential roles in postural balance, movement production, and creating a feeling of grounded lift in the body-mind. Among the diverse selection of primary exercises are the 14 used for posture-based movement strategies in the FAMO Body Reading & Rebalancing course.
