MJF Reformer Pilates Teacher Training

Our 100 hour reformer Pilates teacher training is designed for folks who already have a background in teaching movement to deepen their skillset and add more teaching tools to their toolkit.

We’ll cover the essential reformer Pilates repertoire, give you tools to get creative with your use of the machine, and also put an emphasis on leading joyful and mindful movement.

As with all things Moving Just Fine, this training will prepare you to guide bodies in movement from a place of compassion, curiosity, adaptability, playfulness, and sensitivity.

  • Please note, certification requires you to be available for all 4 modules.

    Module One: February 14 & 15

    Module Two: March 13, 14, 15

    Module Three: April 10, 11, 12

    Module 4: May 8, 9, 10

    Module 5: June 5, 6, 7

    Fridays 6-9pm, Saturdays & Sundays 12:30-5:30pm

  • $2500 CAD + GST & QST.

    When bundled with MJF Mat Pilates Teacher Training Fall 2025, bundle price is $3750 CAD + GST & QST.

    Registration for mat training and bundles opens April 20th, 2025. Registration for reformer training opens September, 2025.

  • You’ll be guided by Moving Just Fine’s two co-owners Mylène Leclair and Meaghan Frances Kelly.

    They each bring more than a decade of teaching experience across multiple modalities including pilates, yoga, mindfulness, and more.

    We take a holistic approach to movement, inviting joy, curiosity and challenge into our trainings and teach through a body and gender neutral lens.

    Unlimited access to reformer classes at the studio for the duration of training

    Written feedback on your teaching and sequencing

    Access to observe classes at the studio

    Access to rent the studio during non-class hours for practice teaching (based on availability)

    Your teacher training manual

    A catalogue of videos demonstrating every posture in the repertoire

    A certificate of completion

At the end of this training, you'll feel empowered to guide both group and one-on-one reformer sessions with clients through a mindfulness lens.

Module 1

  • Meet Joseph through our eyes and learn more about how pilates came to be (it’s honestly a pretty great story).

  • Break down how the apparatus works, learn how to use it safely and how to cue it in teaching

  • Reviewing relevant anatomy and bio-mechanics to support us in training

  • Learn the postures, movements, bio-mechanics, and modifications for your intro to reformer pilates repertoire.

Module 2

  • Learn the postures, movements, bio-mechanics, and modifications for the reformer pilates repertoire.

  • Learn what this machine can offer folks beyond strength training.

  • Working with people with disabilities, chronic injuries or illness, different sizes, and more.

  • How to cue, correct, modify, and generally guide your students to have the best experience possible on reformer.

Module 3

  • This is what would typically be considered "advanced" movements on reformer

  • How to build a reformer class

  • Once you've nailed all the parts of the machine, let's add more props!

  • How to challenge your clients without leaving anyone behind.

Module 4

  • Learn the advanced repertoire on reformer

  • How to work with clients who are carrying or post natal.

  • Moving beyond the pilates repertoire.

  • Are you buying your own reformer? Or are you teaching in studios? We'll give you some pro-tips for navigating the industry.

Module 5

  • There is a lot of private demand for reformer. Recovery from injuries, work towards a specific movement goal, and how the machine can enhance performance as cross training.

  • How to bring Pilates into a modern context

  • Learn to analyze movement within the context of using the reformer

  • Complete your training and receive feedback on your teaching.
