MJF’s social & environmental impact

Owning and operating a movement studio has never been just about teaching Pilates. It’s about people, planet, and purpose. Becoming a Certified B Corporation means we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

Through the rigorous B Impact Assessment, we’ve looked at every facet of our operations to ensure the well-being of our team, our community, our clientele, and our planet are embedded into all of our decisions.

Meet the owners

Meaghan Kelly

Meaghan (she/her) really wants you to know that you’re actually doing just fine.

She’s an expert at making a pilates class feel like you’re just hanging out with your pals. She got her start teaching swimming at the local outdoor pool as a teenager then took a ten year break before discovering pilates. These days, her movement practice is a non-negotiable part of how she maintains a sense of well-being.

Outside the studio, you’re most likely to bump into her perusing the shelves of a local book store or wine shop, or attempting to find the courage to river surf.

Meaghan founded Moving Just Fine in February of 2023 in an effort to create a space free from stigmas and stereotypes where every body feels invited and excited about moving in community.

She used the phrase “Doing Just Fine” as a mantra during a hard time in her life and it became her ethos as a teacher and a human. She weaves knowledge, soulfulness, and ease into her practice in a way that gives every participant permission to show up exactly as they are.

Founder & Co-owner

Mylène Leclair

Co-owner

Mylène (she/her) brings balance and grace to Moving Just Fine.

She’s an expert at motivating folks in the calmest way possible. She began teaching violin at 16 years old and found her way to yoga shortly thereafter. In the time since, she’s dipped her toes into all kinds of different modalities and nowadays focuses mostly on mindful feel-good movement.

Outside the studio you’re most likely to bump into her at an acro-jam, a social dance evening, or getting work done at SavSav.

Mylène has been an integral part of this space and this community since very early on, and officially came aboard as co-owner in April of 2024.

She loves simplicity and flow, and when she teaches she maintains such a graceful demeanour that you don’t even realize how hard you’re working. Expect a delightful ambiance, a lot of knowledge, intelligent sequencing, and a sense of ease.
